This 2 hour workshop is for teens/tweens 12-16 yo and is intended to bring better awareness and equanimity through exploring yoga, mindfulness and breathing techniques as well as creativity and music.
Workshop Outline:
Break the Ice
I'm ME! -identify individual strengths
What is yoga? -body, brain, breath
Stress Lives in the Body! -Body scan
Brain Busting! -intro to mindfulness
Ride the Wave -pranyama
Put it all together! -Vinyasa
Music is Everything -music for our moods
Pretzel poses -having fun with challenge
What's a "Savasana"?? -active rest
Vision boards or other craft activity
