Come learn more about Forest Bathing—an immersive nature-based practice that invites participants to slow down, engage their senses, and cultivate a deeper connection with their environment and the natural world. Led by Lauren Berg, a Carlisle resident and certified Forest Therapy Guide, you'll learn more about what forest bathing is, how it was inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, and the ways it's been shown to support health and overall wellness.
Lauren Berg has spent over 12 years helping people connect with the outdoors, from facilitating team-building initiatives on high ropes courses and guiding backpacking trips, to leading forest bathing walks as a Certified Forest Therapy Guide. Whether hiking in the mountains or savoring a quiet moment with coffee and birdsong, Lauren believes nature offers a space for reflection, restoration, and growth. She especially loves forest bathing for its gentle, sensory-based invitations, which invite participants to slow down, engage their senses, and experience the healing benefits of time in nature.
